Pay it Forward Pizza

Just wanted to share a quick experience that  happened to me yesterday.  So, I called and ordered pizza for a local fire department.  I went and paid for it and ask that it be delivered anonymously.  I bit later I recieved a text from my best friend that also works at the department.  She told me how much our friendship means, and how much she appreciates the things that I do and stand for, ( not that it had anything to do with this).  She then told me that I made her cry at work and thanked me for the pizza from herself and the other fire fighters.  I told her I didn’t know what she was talking about.  Well, so we talked later after work we  she told me that the pizza place had taken a reciept with my name and delivered it with the pizza.  Kinda ruined the whole idea, but still made me feel good.  She told me it lifted their spirits and tasted good.  I told her it was to show appreciation (with I don’t think they get alot of) and just because. I love doing things that brighten the days and lives of others.  Just one small act at a time.

Anonymity is not what make these acts great – It is the act itself. I truly believe that sharing the srtories of the kindnesses we do will motivate others to do the same. The conversations around the world are of many things that should NOT be discussed at all, but philanthroppy of any kind is not one of them in my opinion. Kindness begets kindness – hence the success of the Pay It Forward bracelet program and what we believe will become the “new symbol of cool” in our C2BK program.
    Incredibly fabulous gesture Eilene.
