“STOP DIETING and LEARN HOW to EAT”

Eating nutritiously does not have to be about deprivation, although that’s what most Americans fear. It’s no surprise that a majority of adults surveyed in a 1990 Gallup poll shared that they didn’t find eating pleasurable at times because they worried about fat and cholesterol. Come on now ladies and gentlemen!! If most people feel that eating well means giving something up, it’s no surprise that the joy of eating and cooking has become so difficult.
Knowing what you like to eat and understanding you have the right to enjoy food, are key factors in a lifetime of weight control without dieting. If dieting has been a significant part of your life for many years, you may need to make a serious effort to reclaim your right. Now I am not a doctor but I will tell you this. Food is love, food is comfort, food is reward and to say the least, food is a reliable friend. If eating healthfully is a pleasurable experience and makes you feel better, you are more likely to continue honoring your health with the foods you enjoy.
