Story from Peter Vedel and translated from Danish to English

12 months ago our house burned down (we had nothing left).  We stayed at a hotel the first 8 days after the fire until we found a house that we could stay in until our house was rebuilt.

It was a messy and hard time, but there were somebody who made a difference!!

An American family who wondered why we were in the hotel, had the last day they were at the hotel asked up on our situation, and were given the story of our burned house from the hotel staff.

That evening when we came “home” to the hotel there were a lot of things for us. Toys for both kids, smoothing iron and hairdryer to Jeanette – for me there was a beard trimmer. Along with these things were 2 white bracelets and on those were written “Pay It Forward”

I have often since wanted to thank these wonderful people who truly made a difference in this very tough time, but could not find them.

Now I know that I can thank them by Paying It Forward –  and I intend to do that !!

I believe it is one of the greatest experiences of my life, and it helped my family and me through a difficult time.  How fantastic it is that such people exists. Thank You
