Great story from Team Jaxon

Today our family was blessed by an extremely generous business, Stealth Products, located in Burnet, TX! Lately we have not had a good means of transporting Jaxon since his weakened posture doesn’t allow him to sit well in a standard pediatric wheelchair anymore. Even though he fits better in his stroller, the width is too small, and his legs do not stay on the strap holder which is extremely fr

ustrating to Jaxon. It takes 6 weeks or so to get a custom wheelchair, and the cost is a whole separate issue.

We want Jaxon to be able to get around NOW not sit at the house for over a month with the hope that he’ll be here still in 6 weeks and be feeling well enough to go places. In Michigan we borrowed a product made by Stealth Products, a Lightning Push Chair, that gave Jaxon the benefits of a stroller yet also held his legs with plates just like a wheelchair. Since the Lightning Push Chair would cost our family up to $2,000, we decided to make this chair a reality we should look into a rental. We asked around through the hospice team and therapist, but no one seemed to be able to find 1 we could rent. Unfortunately our insurance isn’t interested in covering this equipment for children under hospice care.

We felt strongly that if God was granting us with more days with Jaxon, we wanted to equip him to do what his heart desired on those days. If you were around our family this past week, I’m certain you heard us discuss this dilemma. We are thankful for our friend, Sissy, that started the leg work to try and help us on this mission, and she contacted the manufacturer, Stealth Products, to see if they could assist us with a rental. To my surprise Stealth Products allowed my father to come pick up a Lightning Push Chair today for us to not only use for FREE, but all they asked in return was that we pay it forward by getting the chair to someone else that could benefit from it after Jaxon is no longer using it.

Pay It Forward! Did they ever pick the right kid to bless, so he could pay it forward and bless others! We are so thankful that the Christian owners of Stealth Products fell in love with Jaxon just as we all have! What generous hearts they have – a perfect match for our angel and his giant heart! I also want to point out that they not only provided the base chair, but Stealth Products even sent my dad home with accessories that I wanted but was too humble to request. Please go to their facebook page
